Ruthann Salanger Stubbs

Ruthann Salanger Stubbs, 90, of Syracuse,passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at The Centers at St. Camillus.  A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth Salanger. Ruthann was a graduate of St. Vincent de Paul High School.  She retired  in 1991 after over 20 years with Community General Hospital. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, extended family and friends. Ruthann was predeceased by her son-in-law, Charles McMullen; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret "Peg" and James Miller; and brother, James F. Salanger Jr. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, John Sr.; daughters, Nancy Stubbs McMullen and Joanne (Chris) Williams; son, John (Vickie) Jr.; grandchildren, Rachael (Nate) Heath, Cullen Stubbs, Rebecca Meyers and Jack Williams; sister-in-law, Dolores Salanger; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burialwill be celebratedMonday, January 19 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church.  Burial will be Tuesday, January 20 at 11 a.m. in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Ruthann's family would like to acknowledge and thank the 3rd Floor staff of The Centers at St. Camillus for all their compassionate care.   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruthann's memory to The Centers at St. Camillus, 813 Fay Rd., Syracuse, NY 13219.
