Stella Mantone

Stella Mantone, 92, of Baldwinsville, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015 at McHarrie Life in Baldwinsville. Born at home in Bayonne, NJ as Stephania Wilczar to Anna (Skrabinska) and Miketa Wilczar on Easter Sunday April 1, 1923.  Predeceased by husband Hugo Mantone in 1989 and all 6 brothers & sisters. Stella grew up and went to school in New York City.  During WWII she worked on manufacturing the Norden Bomb Sight.  As a young wife and mother she moved to Yonkers, NY where she lived until moving to Park Terrace at Radisson in Baldwinsville in 2002.  Stella and her entire family truly appreciate all of the care and kindness she received there. Stella is survived by her daughters Celeste (Tom) D'Amico of Skaneateles and Valerie (Bruce) Strauss of Platte City, MO, grandchildren Adam D'Amico  of Skaneateles, David D'Amico of Oklahoma City, OK, Laura D'Amico of Honolulu, HI, Kate and Harrison (Jillian Murphy) Strauss of Kansas City, MO, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services.  Burial will be in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx.
