Stepan Verbitskiy, 88, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Born in Pechirna, Ukraine, he lived in Ternopil before moving to Syracuse. Stepan was a member of Herald of Joy Church.
Stepan was predeceased by his wife, Nadia, in 2020; parents, Michael and Theodora; two sisters; and three brothers.
Surviving are his children, Andre (Natalie) Verbitskiy of Niagara Falls, Canada, Lidia (Nicolay) Ivanchuk of Liverpool and Victor (Tamara) Verbitskiy of Toronto, Canada; and grandchildren, Andre and Lilia Ivanchuk and Stanislav, Victor, Sasha and Dominick Verbitskiy.
Services will be Friday, January 22 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, January 23 at 10 a.m. in Herald of Joy Evangelical Church, 3994 Split Rock Rd., Camillus. Stepan will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
