Stephen E. Kulczyk

Stephen E. Kulczyk, 86, of Syracuse, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Community-General Hospital with his family at his side. Born in Auburn on Thursday, June 9, 1921, he was the son of Andrew Kulczyk and Frances Skowron Kulczyk. He was raised in Auburn and lived in Syracuse until moving to Camillus more than 20 years ago. Stephen graduated from Auburn High School and worked at Harrison Bakery as head baker and manager for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. An avid hunter and fisherman, Stephen also enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, swimming and polka. Stephen's wife, the former Jenny Antoinette Pietrosimone, died November 7, 2007. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Claire Kulczyk of Baldwinsville; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Paul Warren of Baldwinsville and Susan and Thomas Martin of Syracuse; sister, Irene; sisters-in-law, Helen Fein and Margo Pietrosimone, both of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Monday, May 5, 2008 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum, Syracuse. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Central New York, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088 or to Options for Independent Living Inc., 404 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville, NY 13066.
