Susan A. Otis, 63, of Camillus, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Saturday, September 8, 1945, she was the daughter of Bertrand Archer Dunham and Elizabeth Grace Stocum Dunham. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse-Camillus area. Susan was employed by Stonehedge Elementary School for more than 15 years and eight years with P&C in Westvale, retiring in 2005. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Her interests included arts and crafts, knitting, crocheting, reading and music. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, John; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Beth and David Alexander of Baldwinsville, Sarah and David McMurray of Charlotte, North Carolina, Stephanie and Patrick Savage of Elmhurst, Illinois, and Katherine Otis of Camillus; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sandy Otis of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Jenna Alexander; step-grandchildren, Brown and Katie McMurray; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Jim Roach of Syracuse and Elizabeth and Richard Kuebler of Westmont, Illinois and three grand puppies. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Friday, October 10, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in Jamesville-Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
