Victor B. Hanousek

Victor B. Hanousek, 44, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Westhill High School and attended Hobart College. Victor was employed with Verizon for ten years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church, coached baseball for CSBA and was the former vice president of the Onondaga Road Elementary PTA. Victor enjoyed vacations in Cape Cod with his family.

Victor was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Margaret.

Surviving are his wife of 17 years, the former Annie Heppeler of Camillus; children, Chloe and Ethan of Camillus; sister, Dr. Janet "Jodi" (Erik) Larson of Newton, MA; brother, Theodore (Jennifer) of North Syracuse; and three nieces.

Relatives and friends may call Sunday, May 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will be Monday, May 21 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home and 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chloe and Ethan Hanousek College Funds, checks must be payable to Annie Hanousek, 4434 Whedon Rd., Camillus, NY 13031.
