W. Elaine Jackson

W. Elaine Jackson, 87, of Camillus, went into the presence of her heavenly Father to join her mom and dad, brothers and sisters and her friend and loving husband, William Jackson on January 2, 2019. Born in Ellistown, she lived in Waverly for 40 years and Syracuse for 48 years. A graduate of Waverly High School, Elaine was employed with Syracuse Savings Bank for over 15 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of Syracuse Alliance and Westside Community Chapel. Elaine volunteered at the Upstate Hospital Gift Shop, International Wives and MOPS. She also participated in many Folksmarches, both local and abroad.

Surviving are her daughters, Jan (Bill) Spillett and Michele (George) Evertz, both of Camillus; son, Chris (Cheryl) Jackson of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, January 12 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Westside Community Chapel, 6198 Airport Rd., Syracuse.

Services will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the church. Winifred will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
