Wilford House

Wilford J. House, 88, of Baldwinsville, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at James Square Health & Rehabilitation Centre. Born in Warners, he lived in the Town of Van Buren for 10 years and Baldwinsville until 1949. He then lived in the South until returning to Baldwinsville in 1980. He attended the Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas. Wilford was employed by Lacey Stewart Saw Co. in Memphis, TN for six years, retiring in 1975. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the VFW #153 in Baldwinsville. Wilford was predeceased by his wife, the former Fern Millard, in 2006. Surviving are his sons, James C. House of Raleigh, NC and Timothy J. House of Memphis, TN; sister, Marie Nepage of Altmar; three stepdaughters; one granddaughter, Savannah House of Germantown, TN; seven step- grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Contributions may be made in Wilford's name to the Alzheimer's Assn. of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
