William J. "Bullets" Apps, 80, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at University Hospital after a brief illness. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a 1952 graduate of Most Holy Rosary School. William retired in 2003 after 50 years with P&C Food Markets. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church. He loved going to the Great NYS Fair and was an avid softball player but above all, loved spending time with family and friends. William was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, in 1997. Surviving are his daughters, Colleen Apps and Cathy Apps; son, William Mark (Yvonne); and brother, Jim (Fanny) Apps, all of Syracuse; grandchildren, Alicia, Isaiah, Justyna, Elijah, Isabella, and Jeremiah; great-grandchildren, Allyana and Gabriella; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, February 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be Friday, February 6 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. William will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
