Addie Lou McCarthy, 74, of Syracuse – A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on Thursday.
Adeline was a graduate of Henninger High School. 40 years as a homemaker, she was a beacon of love, kindness and truly a “mother to all”, in her unwavering support, always-open door, and infectious laugh. Adeline had a passion for Bingo, and loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
Adeline was predeceased by her parents, Mack and Julia Christie.
Surviving are her husband, James of 42 years; children, Vincent Henry, Steven (Carolyn) Henry, Kristine (Alexander) Henel, Michelle McCarthy, and Erin (Peter) Nagle; grandchildren, Mia, Payton, Sofia, Natalie, Jacinda, Brodie, Daylan, Charlotte, Timothy, Patrick, Mackenzie, Noah, Kalen, and Julia; and great-grandchildren.
To celebrate Adeline’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, Inc., 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated, Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the CNYSPCA, 5878 East Molloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211 or to the Autism Society, 6110 Executive Boulevard Suite 305, Rockville, Maryland 20852.
