Allen "Michael" Roberts

Allen “Michael” Roberts, 77, of Kirkville, passed away at home on Sunday. Born in Utica, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Allen was employed by New Process Gear as a forklift operator for over 30 years. He was a member of the UAW 624. Allen enjoyed camping and was an avid NASCAR fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  

Allen was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Katherina in 2018; brothers, Stanley, John and Thomas; and sister, Marion.

Surviving are his daughter, Melissa (Jeffrey Tanis) of Albany; sons, Michael of Kirkville and Stephen (Donald Sears) of Fulton; former loving wife’s daughter, Annemarie (Ralph) Haney of Elbridge; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Caelin and Mia; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard of Wexford, PA and Lawrence (Mary Ellen) of Rome; sister-in-law, Blanche of Leesburg, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, December 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
