Ann Lagoe Murtha

Ann Lagoe Murtha, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on Friday at St. Camillus Health and Rehabilitation, with her family by her side. Born in Oswego, she was a graduate of Oswego High School. Ann lived most of her life in Endwell, NY, before making her home in Syracuse, NY.

Ann worked at Tracy’s and Griswold’s Hallmark stores and later became the store manager at Annie’s Cards and Gifts in Endicott, for many years. She was devoted to her customers and took great pride in “her” gift shop.

Family was the center of her world, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren have many stories to tell of the mischief and fun they had with their Grandma/Mimi. We are comforted by all the sweet memories shared by family and friends.

Ann was predeceased by her parents, Neil and Joyce Lagoe; and sisters, Joan Motyka and Joyce King.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and John Talev; son and daughter-in-law, William and Ellen Murtha; grandchildren, Courtney LaShure, Nicole Talev (Travis Behm), Daniel (Valerie) Murtha, Alison (Neil) Petruic, Corey (Sophia) Murtha, and Will Murtha; great-grandchildren, Owen, Mia, Miles, Tessa, Lila, Maxwell, Marlowe, Milo, Marco, Manning, Ryan, Reese, and Nolan; sister, Mary Cobb; her very special niece, Diane Godden and her husband, Robert; and many nieces and nephews.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for all of Mom’s angels at St. Camillus. You know who you are.

Ann’s loving, generous, and fun-loving spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Please remember her for her beautiful smile and kind heart.
