Anne McKenty

It is with profound sadness that the family of Anne M. McKenty, announces her peaceful passing at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family.

Anne was the heart of her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Together with her husband, she loved gathering with the children and grandchildren at their dream home on Skaneateles Lake. Even as a young girl she dreamed big for her life and always cared for and wanted the best for her family. Anne always created wonderful holidays, delicious meals, adventures with her grandkids and made every day special with her love, kindness, generosity, and humor.

She and her husband enjoyed traveling together, especially to Aruba where they sat on the beach talking, watching the waves, and visiting the fine jewelers. Anne always had a love of the “finer things”, especially diamonds. She also had a love of animals, especially dogs and kept treats at their home for the neighborhood dogs, they knew where to come for some extra love and snacks. Although her last years were affected by dementia and she could not remember these things, she loved her family and we will always remember and retell the incredible stories of our beautiful wife, mom and grandma so she will not be forgotten. 

Anne was predeceased by her parents, Phillip and Connie Prince; two brothers; and one sister.

She will lovingly be remembered by her devoted husband of 42 years, Bob; her children; Don (Beth) Spencer, and Cheri (Jeff) Lauffer; grandchildren, Matthew, Melissa, Ethan, Ryan, and Logan, as well as several nieces. The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Syracuse Home at McHarrie Place, for their compassion, dedication, and care.

Services will be private at the family's request.

Anne will be laid to rest in Borodino Cemetery, Spafford.
