Audrey (Kennedy) Contegni

Audrey (Kennedy) Contegni, 94, of Solvay, passed away Monday at Bishop Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a 1946 graduate of Solvay High School and a 1949 graduate of Crouse Hospital School of Nursing. Audrey was employed as a registered nurse at Crouse Hospital for 10 years and a communicant of Holy Family Church.

Audrey was predeceased in 2002 by her husband, Paul; parents, William and Dorothy Kennedy; and sister, Marjorie Cometti.  

Surviving are her daughters, Donna (Nicholas) Nami and Susan (Edward) Pattermann, both of Syracuse and Amy Ciciriello of Camillus; son, Jeffrey (Patricia) of Liverpool; grandchildren, Anthony, Alexander, Jessica, Ryan, Alyssa, Emily, and Abby; great-grandchildren, Alessandra and Julianna; sisters, Marion (Jack) Smith of Fairmount and Kathleen Phairis of Colony, TX; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, December 28 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church.

Audrey will be laid to rest in Belle Isle Cemetery, Warners.
