Audrey Elaine Denny

Audrey Elaine Denny, 75, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at Upstate Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she earned her nursing degree in 1971 and began working at Upstate Medical Center. Audrey retired after over 40 years of dedicated service with Planned Parenthood and was a strong advocate of women’s health. She enjoyed fishing, music, movies, all things Halloween and loved all kinds of animals.

Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Richard; and parents, Beverly O’Connor and Gary Baker.

Surviving are her sons, Douglas of Syracuse and Donald (Aileen) of Rochester; granddaughter, Amanda Rollins; two great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl (Dominic) Lombardi of Liverpool; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the CNY SPCA, 5878 E. Malloy Rd., Syracuse, NY 13211.
