Barbara A. Greene

Barbara A. Greene, 93, formerly of Camillus, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.

Born on August 10, 1932, in Syracuse, Barb grew up on Borden Avenue and spent many summers with her grandmother Denison in Amsterdam, NY. She graduated from Central Tech and Ohio University. Barb met her husband, Mike, on a junior high hayride, and they were happily married for 63 years. In 1956, while Mike was stationed at a U.S. Air Force base in England, Barb attended several churches in hopes of worshipping with the Queen.

Barb was predeceased by her husband, Milford “Mike” Greene, in 2016; son, Andrew, in 2026; and parents John and Margaret Jones.

Surviving are her sons, Mark (Cindy), John (Karen), and Peter (Marybeth); daughter-in-law, Lynda; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and niece, Heather (Bob) Balmer.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Touching Hearts, The Hearth at Greenpoint, The Cottages, Upstate University Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of our mother.

To celebrate Barbara’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

A funeral service will follow at the church.

Barbara will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
