Belva “Connie” Morton, 85, of Syracuse, passed away at Brookdale Summerfield Senior Living on Friday.
Belva was a graduate of Utica Free Academy, Class of 1957. Her family was most important to her, and she loved being a Mimi. Belva enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and collecting teacups and spoons from the places she visited. She was an active member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and volunteered in their Altar Guild.
Belva was predeceased by her husband, Daniel; grandson, Alexander Ingianni; and parents, Ralph and Dorothy Foote.
Surviving are her daughters, Christine Kaiser and Kathleen (Mark) Ingianni; son, Robert Morton; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jeremy) Rawlings, Nicholas and Jacob Kaiser, Kayla and Luke Ingianni, and Caroline and Allison Morton; great-granddaughter, Millicent Rawlings; and close friends, Sally and Lou DiOrio.
To celebrate Belva’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10 a.m. in St. James’ Episcopal Church, 96 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles.
Belva will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cortland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central New York and of the Finger Lakes, 990 Seventh N. St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
