Bruce E. Bartlett, 66, of Syracuse, passed away Monday. Born and raised in Elmira, he moved to the Syracuse area 40 years ago. He was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in 1977. Bruce was employed in sales with various companies, including Gordon Brothers Electronics. He had a passion for skiing, listening to music and high performance cars. Above all, he loved spending time with his wife, Christine.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Dr. George and Blanche Bartlett; and mother-in-law, Jane Pietrowicz.
Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Christine; sisters, Gail (Gentry) Wooldridge of Horseheads and Lisa (Scotty) Mathis of Brevard, NC; brother, Henry Bartlett of Jasper, GA; and sister-in-law, Sister Kristen Pietrowicz of Buffalo.
The family would like to thank Dr. Alina Basnett of Upstate Cancer Center for her loving care and compassion given to Bruce.
Per Bruce’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
