Carol Ann Granito

Carol Ann Granito, 69, of Camillus, passed away Tuesday at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she retired from the Syracuse Developmental Center after many years and previously was a teacher's aide with the Syracuse City School District for 10 years. She loved birds, angels and also enjoyed working on puzzles and crafts. Carol was predeceased by her brother, Ronnie; and sister, Dolly. Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Vincent J. Granito Sr.; son, Edward Fields Jr. of Syracuse; daughter, Rebecca (Rob) Walsh of Syracuse; stepchildren, Bernie (Pat) Granito of Elbridge, V. James Granito Jr. of Liverpool and LouAnne (Stan) Omilanowicz of Camillus; several grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call Monday, September 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Carol’s memory to the American Diabetes Assn., 6390 Fly Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057.
