Carol Ann Greis, 82, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, at Crouse Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Carol graduated from The Convent School in Syracuse in 1961 and earned her degree in dental hygiene from Erie County Technical Institute in 1963. After being a stay-at-home mom, she worked more than 15 years as a dental hygienist.
Carol was a devoted member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and had served as Queen of the Daughters of the Nile.
Known for her caring nature and infectious smile, Carol was always appreciative of others and quick to say thank you. She loved to sew and was an avid reader. Her greatest joy came from time spent with her loved ones.
She will be remembered for her warm presence at family gatherings, talkative nature, and positive outlook when faced with challenges.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, Vincent “Rusty” and Virginia Kardes.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Erick; daughters, Allison (Lenny) Tucci and Lori (Anthony) Tocco; son, Sean (Heather) Greis; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brother, David (Steacey) Kardes; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be private.
