Camillus

Carol A. Krak, 82, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday.

Born and raised in Syracuse, Carol was a proud 1960 graduate of North High School and later earned her associate degree from Onondaga Community College.

Carol dedicated over 15 years of service as an executive secretary at Carrier Corporation.

Beyond her career, Carol was a woman of many passions. She had a green thumb and took great joy in tending to her gardens, cooking, and traveling with her family.

Carol will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Carol was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Josephine Yarah; and daughter, Kristine Krak.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Robert; daughter, Kelly (Gene) Judd; son, Kevin Krak; grandchildren, Kiera and Patrick Judd and Beckett Degnan; sisters, Barbara Prusinowski and Kathleen (Mike) Roder; brother, Arthur (Barbara) Yarah; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

To celebrate Carol’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, June 6, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Carol will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY, 5008 Brittonfield Pkwy., E. Syracuse, NY 13057, or Crouse Health Foundation, 736 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210, Crouse Medical Practice at Camillus, or to a charity of one’s choice.
