David J. Krisak

April 20, 1954 — March 4, 2021

David J. Krisak, 66, of Camillus, passed peacefully in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Crouse Hospital. A native of Camillus, he earned a B.S. in Media Communications from Empire State College and an A.A.S. in Radio and Television Programming from Onondaga Community College. David retired from Teen Challenge. He was an active member of the Onondaga Community College Alumni Association from 1981 to 1986 and served on the Board of Directors from 1984 to 1986. David was also a member of New Life Syracuse Church.

David loved talking with people. He enjoyed hearing about their lives and was always ready to offer compassion and encouragement to those who needed it. He possessed a keen memory and enjoyed recalling names and important dates for his extended and extensive family.

David loved his church and church family. He was committed to following Jesus Christ and would share his faith with anybody who asked about it.

David was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sarah.

Surviving are his aunts, Jane Krisak and Mary Aline Krisak; uncle, Richard MacDonald; and many cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, March 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, March 10 at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
