David M. “Dazzy” LaManna, 76, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Saturday at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital.
Born and raised in Solvay, David was a lifelong resident of the Syracuse area. He graduated from Solvay High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Wichita State University. David built a dedicated career as an industrial engineer, spending 18 years with Pass & Seymour in Solvay.
David had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed walking, fishing, and hiking throughout Central New York. He also took joy in attending local festivals and community events.
Most of all, David cherished time with his family—especially his beloved grandsons, who brought him immense pride and happiness.
David was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Celestine; and brother, Joseph.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Judy; son, Matthew (Caitlin) of Camillus; grandsons, Cole and Gio; brothers, Paul (Lisa) and Michael (Anna), both of Solvay; and several nieces and nephews.
To celebrate David’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
A private burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Family Church Food Pantry, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219.
