Delores M. Raymond, 99, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at Loretto. Born and raised in Syracuse, she was a proud graduate of Blodgett Vocational High School.

Delores lived a life rooted in faith, love, care, and quiet devotion to those around her. She found great joy in gardening, crocheting, cooking, and baking, and was especially known for the delicious cakes she lovingly made for family gatherings and special occasions.

Family meant everything to Delores, and she meant everything to her family. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Delores is predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Stewart W. Raymond, Jr.; son, Richard F. Raymond; granddaughter, Darcy A. Shadoian; three sisters; and two brothers.

Surviving are her daughter, Catherine Raymond; grandson, Jason (Mary) Alfieri; great grandchildren, Lacy Alfieri, Kinsey (Andrew) Bowler, and Brooklyn Shadoian; and great-great grandchildren, Gizelle and Gaige Glasco.

There will be no services.

Delores will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
