Edgar "Bud" Elliott

Edgar Bud Elliott, 81, of Fairmount, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center. Born in Syracuse on Friday, June 4, 1926, he was the son of William Edgar and Frances Rose Groboske Elliott. He lived in Camillus for 59 years. Bud was owner of Albert's Jewelers when he retired in 1993 after 50 years. A past president of the Syracuse Jewelers' Association, he was a registered jeweler with the American Gemological Society. Bud was an Army veteran. He was a communicant and usher at St. John the Evangelist Church. Bud's son, Tim, died in 1990. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Belle Daniels; daughter, Susan (Bruce) Pollock of Skaneateles; sons, Tom (Carol) Elliott of Tarrytown and Terry (Blair Beadnell) Elliott of Seattle, Washington; daughter-in-law, Molly Elliott of Fairmount; brother, Dr. Charles F. Elliott of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2007 in St. John the Evangelist Church, Syracuse, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Monday, September 10, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Burial will be in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Onondaga County Special Olympics, 800 South Wilbur Ave., Syracuse, NY 13204.
