Florence (Owens) Sadowski

Florence (Owens) Sadowski, 98, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a communicant of Holy Family Church. An avid SU basketball fan and doll collector, Florence also enjoyed gardening and knitting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. 

Florence was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Bernard in 2008; and son, David in 2011.

Surviving are her sons, Kevin (Gia Ruffini) of Westvale, Bernard (Deb) of Clay, and Mark (Giselle) of Long Island; daughter-in-law, Lois Sadowski; grandchildren, Nadine, Sandra, Bernie, Eric, Aaron, and Simone; step-grandchildren, Cidney, Jake, CP and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Andrew; step-great-grandchildren, Hayley, Shawn Jr., Jake and Jenna; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. 

Florence will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a food pantry of your choice.
