Helen E. Gould passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday.

Helen was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary, Class of 1950, and retired from NY Telephone in 1992 after many years of dedicated service.

Helen was a loving mother and a caring, generous person. She enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending winters at her home in Naples, Florida. She will be remembered for her kindness and devotion to her family and friends.

Helen is predeceased by her husband, Thomas F. Gould; loving partner, Donald Taylor; beautiful daughter, Patricia Oakes; brother, William Carroll; sister, Catherine Hackett; and parents, William and Eileen Carroll.

Surviving are her beloved children, Kevin (Gail) Gould of Clay, William Gould of Marcellus, and Timothy Gould of Liverpool; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Carroll; and her loved nieces and nephews.

To celebrate Helen’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. A funeral Mass will follow at the church.

Burial will be private for immediate family only at St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to one’s favorite local charity.
