Jessica (Lilly) Briggs

Jessica (Lilly) Briggs, 49, of Syracuse passed away on Saturday, after a short illness, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and nurturing relationships.

Jessica lived her life to give support and joy to everyone around her. Born on April 9, 1976, in Syracuse, she graduated from Fowler High School and attended Onondaga Community College. She was employed at Wegmans for 12 years, and at every store where she worked, she built a close-knit group of “her kids” — colleagues she mentored and cared for like a mother. Jessica had a deep love for papercrafts and was a talented colorist. Above all, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

Jessica was predeceased by her father, Scott Lilly; son, Matthew; and husband, Gregory Briggs.

Surviving are her partner, Markel Davis; son, Christopher Briggs; mother and stepfather, Kristin and William Neagle; stepmother, Kathy Lilly; siblings, Erik (Stephanie) Lilly, Paul (Sonja) Lilly, and Erin Lilly; grandmother, Nancy Scheutzow; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, her beloved niece and nephews, and several cats.

To celebrate Jessica’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
