Joel L. Kosoff, 80, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at Upstate University Hospital.
Joel earned his bachelor's degree from Rochester Institute of Technology and went on to have a successful career in engineering and communications technology. He spent over 25 years at Anaren Inc. in Syracuse, where his dedication and expertise left a lasting mark. He later continued his professional journey at Phillips, contributing another decade of innovation and commitment.
A man of many interests, Joel had a lifelong passion for amateur radio. His enthusiasm for radio and communications reflected a broader love of learning and sharing knowledge.
Joel was also a devoted sports fan, with a particular love for Major League Baseball and Syracuse University basketball. He found great joy in traveling to different ballparks across the country, combining his love of sports with his love of travel and exploration. Whether hiking, taking long walks, or enjoying a quiet moment outdoors, Joel appreciated the simple beauty of life.
Above all, Joel cherished time with his family. His warmth, humor, and quiet strength enriched the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered as a loving family man, a loyal friend, and a kind soul with a generous heart.
