John F. Zollo

John F. Zollo, 61, of Solvay, a Westvale native and former Camillus resident, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 3, 2025. He was a proud alum of West Genesee High School and Onondaga Community College. John was the proprietor of Solvay Recreation Alleys, which had been in the Zollo family for 95 years.

An avid motorcyclist, John’s trips to Sturgis with his brother were among his most memorable rides. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, and loved taking annual trips to Florida and the Pocono Raceway with his sons. Fun-loving and family-oriented, he was cherished by his many nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Alice Rose (Kinsella) Zollo; sister, Ruth Christine Shinnar; and brother, Edward Zollo.

Surviving are his sons, Joseph, Daniel (Krista), and Jonathan; grandson, JT; former wife, Lori (Reilly) Zollo; siblings, Daniel (Nancy Luckwaldt) Zollo, Philip (Lorraine) Zollo, Mary Walker, Thomas (Sharon Renchof) Zollo, Elizabeth (Daniel) Barriere, Sally (Deborah Graziano) Zollo, Teresa (Alan Diamond) Zollo, James (Carolyn Lafaver) Zollo, Joseph (JP Reese) Zollo, Leonard Zollo, and Megan Pellenz; brother in law, Shlomo Shinnar; former sister-in-law, Sheri Frost; and beloved Zollo, Capucilli, and Kinsella cousins.

To celebrate John’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

John will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
