Jon B. Northrup, 89, of Clay, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Upstate University Hospital.

Born and raised in Syracuse, Jon was a graduate of Vocational High School. He dedicated more than 30 years of his career to Conrail before retiring.

Jon had a lifelong passion for automobiles. He especially enjoyed working on cars, admiring and collecting vintage cars, and attending car shows. He also enjoyed roller skating and, most of all, spending time with his beloved wife. He cherished the simple moments they shared and the memories they created throughout their life together.

Jon will be remembered for his love of cars, his hardworking nature, and the many years of companionship and memories he shared with his wife and those who knew him.

Jon was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Agnes Northrup; daughter, Sheila Giles; stepson, Francis Brooks; and one granddaughter.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Anna Marie; daughters, Sue Northrup, Sandra (Jim) Walters, and Elizabeth (Russ) Scott; stepdaughter, Patricia (Douglas Piscitell) Miller; stepson, Richard (Julie) Brooks; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date.

Jon will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
