Jorgo “George” Boskovski, 67, of Syracuse, passed away suddenly on Tuesday. He was born on December 20, 1957, in Trnovo, Macedonia, to Nada and Dimitar Boskovski, who relocated their family to the U.S. in 1970. George worked as a machinist until his retirement, which he celebrated with a trip to Croatia and Macedonia, sightseeing and reconnecting with family and childhood friends. He was blessed with a wonderful, cherished family, and found his greatest joy in becoming Dedo to his beloved granddaughters whom he never left without a good-bye kiss.
A member of St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church, George served on multiple committees throughout the years. Known for his fun-loving personality, some of his favorite pastimes were watching horse racing, sports, and going out to breakfast with friends. While he was taken from us too soon, we celebrate the full life he lived.
George was predeceased by his daughter, Victoria; and father, Dimitar.
Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Lily; mother, Nada; children, Jacqueline and Christine (Judson) Knappen; granddaughters, Colette and Zoe; siblings, Ellie Aleksovski and John (Julie) Boskovski; along with many beloved nieces and nephews. He will forever remain in our hearts.
To celebrate George’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church, 5083 Onondaga Rd., Syracuse. A Trisagion Prayer Service will be held at 6 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church.
George will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church.
