Joseph Kondratowicz, 93, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at Francis House. A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, he was a proud graduate of Central High School and a devoted member of the community throughout his life.

For 46 years, Joe built a distinguished career at Kemper Insurance, ultimately serving as vice president before his retirement in 1996. His professionalism and integrity left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.

Joe had a deep love for the simple joys in life—especially gardening—and found his greatest happiness in time spent with family. His warmth, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be remembered always.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy, in 2024; daughter, Julia; son, John; sisters, Helen Jeaks and Harriet Flavin; and brothers, John, Wallace, and Edwin.

Surviving are his grandson, John Keiser of Toledo, OH; son-in-law, Wayne Murray of Camillus; and many special friends, nieces and nephews.

To honor Joseph’s life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, 4110 E. Genesee St., DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Julia Kondratowicz Scholarship Fund, c/o Elmcrest Children's Center, 960 Salt Springs Rd., Syracuse, NY 13224.
