Josephine "Jo" Tucciarone Daniels

Josephine "Jo" Tucciarone Daniels, 90, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Upstate Community Hospital.

A lifelong resident of the Syracuse area, Jo dedicated many years to her work at Coleman Florist, where she was known for her warm spirit and artistic touch.

Jo devoted 30 years to the Girl Scouts as a leader, nurturing generations of young women with her guidance, creativity, and kindness. She was also an active member of the Camillus Elks Lodge #2367 Ladies Auxiliary. Outside of her community involvement, Jo found joy in gardening, tending to her plants with the same care she offered to everyone around her.

She will be remembered for her generosity, dedication, and the countless lives she touched throughout her long and beautiful life.

Jo was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, David "Danny" Daniels, in 2009; parents, Frank and Julia Tucciarone; and brother Tony Tucciarone.

Surviving are her daughter, Diane (Tom Kinsella) Daniels of Syracuse; son, David K. (Alice) Daniels of DeWitt; grandchildren, Scott (Ashley) Hollister, Jodie (Rich) Post, Brian (Megan) Hollister, and Paul Daniels; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Sam (Claire) Tucciarone of Chittenango, Frank (Rose) Tucciarone of Rochester, and John (Linda) Tucciarone of Solvay; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

To celebrate Jo’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral service will follow at the funeral home.

Jo will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
