Joyce (Tracy) Wojtalewski

Joyce (Tracy) Wojtalewski, 78, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday at The Centers at St. Camillus. Born and raised in Tully, she moved to Solvay in 1962. A communicant of St. Marianne Cope at St. Cecilia Church, Joyce was an avid reader who enjoyed playing Bingo, crocheting, and cross-stitching.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Jr. in 1989; son, Michael in 1964; grandson, Matthew; son-in-law, Matthew Kurasz; and six brothers.

Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Kurasz of Kearny, NJ, Tammy (John Briggman) Lucio of Marcellus, Christine (James) Kwietniak of Camillus, Ruth (Tim) Cooper of Solvay, and Lynn Wojtalewski of Waterloo; son, Steven (Ola) Wojtalewski of Camillus; 23 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Thompson of Daisy, FL and Wendy Spears of California; and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Joyce would like to thank The Centers at St. Camillus for their loving care and compassion given to her.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, September 8 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

A private burial will be held at Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
