Judith Karastury

Judith Karastury, 79, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Francis House.

Born in Orange, NJ, Judith was a graduate of Wayne High School and continued her education at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. She carried with her throughout her life the values of dedication, kindness, and quiet strength that shaped her early years.

Judith devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and laughter. She found great joy in gardening, tending carefully to her plants and flowers, and took special pleasure in spending time with her family. Her gentle spirit, steady presence, and nurturing heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Judith was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Anna Cole; and brothers, Mark and Peter Cole.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Robert; son, Robert (Melinda) Karastury of Sauquoit; daughters, Kristen (Peter Tracy) Karastury of Trumansburg and Amy (Jason Gagliardi) Karastury of Elmira; and grandchildren, Jared and Eliot Dugan, Clara, Joshua, and Alana Karastury, and Asher and Liam Gagliardi.

Services will be private.

Judith will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
