Karen Marie Laufer

Karen M. Laufer, 39, of Clay, passed away Monday at home. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of West Genesee High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse with Onondaga County Justice Center. Surviving are her parents, Margaret and Robert E. Laufer and sister, Stephanie Laufer, all of Syracuse; brother, Robert J. (Dorin) Laufer of Camillus; nephews, Mitchell and Sam; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, Inc., 6606 Kinne Rd., DeWitt, NY 13214.
