Kenneth "Ken" W. Strempel

Kenneth “Ken” W. Strempel, 53, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Ken was a locksmith at his family’s business, Strempels Inc. for 15 years. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed working on them. Ken also enjoyed biking, kayaking, sailing and snowmobiling.

Ken was predeceased by his mother, Cecilia; and brother, Michael.

Surviving are his son, Brian of Alexandria, VA; father, Patrick of New Hartford; sisters, Julie Strempel of Springfield, VA and Patricia (Michael Purdy) Strempel of Tucson, AZ; one niece; and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, September 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

There will be no services. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
