Linda Fay (Heiser) Crowell, 75, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on Monday at Francis House. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she worked at the New York Telephone Company and Fowler High School before retiring in 2001 from Christen & Sack Consulting Engineers, PC, after 15 years. She married her high school sweetheart, Earle Crowell, and spent 56 wonderful years together.
Linda relished 42 years at her summer residence on the St. Lawrence River, especially the time spent with her daughters and grandchildren there. She enjoyed golfing, reading, card games, and TikTok. Linda’s favorite pastime was to take in the view of Carlton Island with a good cup of coffee. Grandma's favorite sayings were, "Dessert wasn't a snack, snack came after dessert." Also, "Does everyone have a drink?"
Linda was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Earle "Sam" Crowell, on August 17, 2023; parents, James and Barbara Heiser; sister, Sally Terek; and brother, Jim Heiser.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Christine Moen (Jason Tomeny) of Liverpool and Kimberly (David) DiPaola of Camillus; grandchildren, Catherine, Abigail, and Olivia Moen and Michael, Timothy and Erin DiPaola; several in-laws, nieces and nephews; and special grand-dogs, Finn Moen and Brooks DiPaola.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, caregivers, and staff at Francis House for their kindness and affection towards Linda during this difficult time.
