Lois Mary McTarnaghan

Lois M. McTarnaghan, 93, of Jamesville, passed away Friday, July 29 at The Nottingham. Born in Dansville, NY, she was a 1948 graduate of Geneseo State Teachers College. Lois was a resident of Webster, NY for over 50 years and was an active member of the Webster United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, volunteering, and lifelong learning. Throughout her life, Lois was committed to nurturing her relationships with her family and friends.  

Lois was predeceased by her husband, Donald, in 1999; brother, James Wittig; son-in-law, Allan Drew; and sister-in-law, Dora Coates.

Surviving are her daughter, Beth (Joseph Marusa) Drew of Jamesville; son, Jim (Debra Gajer) of Oakland, CA; grandchildren, Katie (Carlos) Rios, Will (Stacey) Drew, Sara McTarnaghan, and Molly (Matt) Sheasby; three great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Fran Wittig of Pittsford. She loved them all.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13 at 11 a.m. in University United Methodist Church, 1085 E. Genesee St., Syracuse. The family will greet friends at 1:30 p.m. on the patio at The Nottingham, 1301 Nottingham Rd., Jamesville.
