MacKenzie L. Tamutus, 39, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday after a sudden illness.
MacKenzie was a proud graduate of West Genesee High School. She found her greatest joy at her beloved camp on Lake Ontario, where she spent countless cherished days surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of nature. She created memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.
MacKenzie was predeceased by her sisters, Jennifer Tamutus and Lindsay (Tamutus) O'Shea, paternal grandmother, Karen Tamutus; and maternal grandparents, James and Peggy Demperio.
Surviving are her life partner, Cody Santaferra, daughters, Aryana and Temperance Santaferra; mother, Karen Tamutus; father, Dave Tamutus; brother, David Tamutus; grandfather, Robert Tamutus; in-laws, Mary and Gary Richardson; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sasha.
To celebrate MacKenzie’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, July 27, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
MacKenzie will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
