Marc A. Stevens, 47, of Camillus, passed away on Wednesday in the comfort of his home. He was a lifelong resident of Camillus and a graduate of West Genesee High School. Marc went on to graduate from SUNY Cortland followed by Upstate Medical University. He was a physician assistant at St. Joseph’s Health Hospital.
Marc was a cherished son who took care of his mother and father on a daily basis. He would cook fantastic meals that made your taste buds dance and roasted coffee that warmed your heart. Marc was a best friend to his entire family, especially his Mom. He was a hero to his nephews, Carter and Nolan, whom he spoiled rotten. Marc was a provider, mentor and generous soul to all who knew him. His unique sense of humor and free spirit made him easy to love, and loved he was.
As an outdoor enthusiast, Marc spent his free time hiking, fishing, biking, and simply being outside. He had a love for all living things and would go out of his way to make this world a better place for everyone and everything. In addition, Marc practiced Jujitsu, rock climbing, played guitar, had a love for race cars, professional soccer, and hockey. He did it all and did so much for so many. He will be missed dearly and remembered forever. We love you, Marc.
Surviving are his parents, Bob and Debbie of Camillus; brother, Michael (Kelly) of Camillus; sister, Katherine (Aaron) Schantz of Camillus; nephews and his best buddies, Carter and Nolan Schantz; and the canine love of his life, Rosie.
To celebrate Marc’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
