Marie C. Kane

March 14, 1929 — April 26, 2019

Marie C. Kane, 90, of Camillus, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of Most Holy Rosary School and Le Moyne College, where she met her husband. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.

Marie was a beloved, loving and devoted wife and mother who will be sorely missed by all.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret (King) Carpenter; son, J. Michael Kane; and brothers, Jack and James Carpenter.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Robert C. Kane Jr.; children, Mary Beth (Stephen) Fee of Newburgh, Theresa (Jeff) Smith of LeRoy, Thomas (Mary) Kane of Syracuse, Martin (Ann) Kane of Rochester, Brian (Lisa) Kane of North Carolina, Margaret (Jon) Patch of Camillus and Robert Kane III of Ithaca; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Kane) Tobin; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Tuesday, April 30 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 West Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will follow at noon in the church. Marie will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
