Marie E. Fullagar, 86, of Camillus, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday.
Born and raised in Penn Yan, Marie had resided in Camillus the past eight years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Keuka College and later a master’s degree in education from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Marie dedicated much of her career to teaching biology and chemistry at the Phelps-Clifton Springs Central School District, where she inspired generations of students with her passion for science and learning.
When she wasn’t teaching, Marie was a devoted homemaker who worked alongside her husband on the family farm. She was a loving and supportive mother, always encouraging her family in their pursuits.
Marie cherished time spent traveling across the U.S. with her family, creating lasting memories and sharing in the beauty of the places they explored together. She will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for her family.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, Bernard; and parents, Warren and Eleanor Morrison.
Surviving are her daughters, Janice (Robert) Shea of Skaneateles and Donna (Todd) Owens of Camillus; grandchildren, Meghan (Eric) Shea-Frederick, Callah Shea, Carissa (Betho) Owens Jaramillo, and Eli Owens; great-grandchildren, Adaline and Abigail Frederick, and Archer Owens Jaramillo; and brother-in-law, Gerald Fullagar and his family.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Elbridge Community Church, 126 East Main St., Elbridge.
Marie will be laid to rest in Second Milo Cemetery, Penn Yan, NY.
