Marilyn Josephine Lopez

Marilyn Josephine Lopez, 90, of Solvay, passed away peacefully on Monday at Upstate University Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Solvay area, she was a graduate of Solvay High School. Marilyn cherished her family and enjoyed cooking. She centered her day around preparing delightful meals for family dinners.

Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Venancio; parents, Frank and Mary Daverso; and brothers, A. John and Raymond N. Daverso.

Surviving are her sons, Vincent and Frank (Mary Beth), both of Solvay; grandchildren, Mary Catherine and Nicholas; sister, Jeanette Daverso of Solvay; brother, Frank S. (Jill) of Mill Creek, WA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

To celebrate Marilyn’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. 

Marilyn will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
