Mark W. Waterman

Mark W. Waterman, 45, of Marcellus, passed away Monday. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, Mark was a 1995 graduate of Marcellus High School where he played tennis and was coached by his mother, Linda. He later went on to receive a scholarship in tennis from Le Moyne College where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 1999. Mark was a financial planner for the past several years. He enjoyed golfing and skiing, but above all, loved spending time with his family, especially his two sons.

Mark was predeceased by his mother, Linda.

Surviving are his sons, Jack and Ryan of Marcellus; father, Richard of Camillus; sister, Barbara (Mike) Kellar of Chalfont, PA; brother, Richard (Megan) Waterman, Jr. of Hampstead, MD; companion, Janel McCandless of Camillus; and nieces and nephews, Shane, Abbey and Aidan.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Mark will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial fund that will be set up for Mark’s children at a later date.
