Mary Elizabeth Rugelis, 80, of Westvale, passed away peacefully at home on Friday. She was born in Massena and was a graduate of Massena General High School and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Indiana. She moved to Syracuse area in the 1960’s and worked at SCM for a number of years before becoming a nurse with St. Joseph’s Hospital for over forty years.
Mary was predeceased by her parents and stepdaughter, Christina Rugelis.
Surviving are her husband, Andris; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jenna Ketchum; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be private. Mary will be laid to rest at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino.
