Mary Aline Krisak, 92, of Camillus, went home to the Lord Tuesday after a long and happy life. She was born in Syracuse to George and Lia Lawrence. Mary Aline attended Convent School and Cornell University. She met and married Stephen J. Krisak while working as a receptionist at Fruehauf Trailer Company in Syracuse. They were married at St. John the Evangelist Church on July 25, 1953, and built their first home in Camillus (Fairmount).
Mary Aline was a communicant of Holy Family church for 68 years. She was a pianist and enjoyed horticulture, aviation, sports cars, and watching auto racing.
Besides playing piano her whole life, Mary Aline devoted much of her free time to a love of horticulture and gardens. She joined the Fairmount Garden Club in 1973 and stayed active in garden clubs for 40 years. During that time, Mary Aline started by learning about floral design and entered the New York State Garden Shows. She went on to become a New York State Garden Clubs judge, Master Gardener, and eventually served as President of the New York State 6th District Clubs. As another hobby, Mary Aline volunteered at the Camillus Octagon House. Of course, most of all, she loved and was devoted to her husband, Steve, and her family.
Mary Aline was predeceased by her husband, Stephen; and son, Paul.
Surviving are her children, Kathryn (Alan) Burgman of Locke, Stephen (Bonnie) Krisak of Liverpool, Thomas Krisak of Camillus, Elizabeth Tracey (Philip) Dubuc of Camillus, and Glenn Krisak of Camillus; grandchildren, Marianne Berry and Christie, Kellie, Joshua, Katelynn and Micah Krisak; great-grandson, Lucian Shea; and several nieces and nephews.
