Mary Louise Hand

May 14, 1932 — March 30, 2018

Mary Louise Hand, 85, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of St. Lucy’s. Mary retired from Case Supply as a bookkeeper. She was passionate about the US Military, especially the Marine Corps, and proud of her Irish heritage. Mary was a communicant of Holy Family Church and an avid SU fan.

Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth R. Beagle; second husband, Charles Hand; infant son, Michael Beagle; and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her daughters, Suzanne (Paul) Mantelli, Barbara (Bob) Wilson, Mary (Ron) Smith and Carol (Eugene) Wallace; sons, Kenneth (Karen) Beagle, James (Yao-Hong) Beagle and Donald (Lisa) Beagle; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, April 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 3 at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Mary will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s honor may be made to the Upstate Cancer Center Campaign, 750 E. Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
