Matilde "Tillie" DeSocio
January 30, 1944 — October 19, 2021
Matilde “Tillie” DeSocio, 77, of Camillus, passed away peacefully after a long illness Tuesday, at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Roccacasale, Italy, Matilde immigrated and moved to the Syracuse area in 1953. She worked at Continental Insurance, General Electric, Crum & Forster and Kemper Insurance where she was a clerical supervisor for many years. A communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church, Matilde enjoyed cooking and crafting and loved spending time with her family.
Matilde was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Frank DeSocio; sister, Catherine Shpudejko; and brother, Fil Ranalli.
Surviving are her son, Michael P. DeSocio; daughter, Lori A. DeSocio, both of Syracuse; and many nieces and nephews.
The services will be private.
